Offered is this set of SEVEN saucers made by Hazel Atlas in the 1950s. These saucers belong to sets of children’s dishes. We believe this style is called Moderntone platonite.
The set is comprised of different colors: 2 blue, 2 yellow, 1 green, 1 pink, 1 white.
Each piece is white milk glass with an overlay of colored glaze.
Typically these children’s or doll’s dishes were sold in sets of 4 plates, 4 cups and saucers, cream and sugar, and teapot with lid.
Usually, a party set would be comprised of four different colors. Many color combinations were offered.
The saucers measure 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) in diameter.
Hazel Atlas made these saucers a little larger than the Little Hostess blank.
These pieces are in good used condition. No chips or cracks.
